LEARNING GOAL & PURPOSE

Even in this day and age, exist perils like child marriage. While child marriage is a human rights violation, most people do not seem to find it a violation worth fighting against. This truly inspiring story from Club Tuseme, Ceg Tindji, Zou, Benin highlights the boldness and critical thinking skills of the young superheroes.

While the adults are either enforcing this evil or are silent spectators, the brave kids decide to fight the problem. After analyzing the situation among the community members, these determined souls used their skills to spread awareness about important ideas like the right to education and right age for marriage.

Lesson Plan

· Students can write a script regarding this situation so that it can be performed in the school and in the community. This way people will be aware of what is happening around the world and have the opportunity to act upon.

· Students can also compose a song / a poem to claim for Women's Rights. Do you want to share this story or something which has happened in your country? Do you want to make an ode to gender equality? There are no limits.

· Students can express their emotions by drawing/painting or dancing. Let their imagination run wild! An exposition can be held in the school with their canvas. It is really important to create a good atmosphere so that everyone can get inspired.
